Arvind Deshpande, Vascular Surgeon, FRACS DDU (vascular), is dedicated to providing exceptional vascular care to patients in Newcastle, NSW, and beyond. Dr. Deshpande completed his medical education and specialized training at renowned institutions, equipping him with the expertise to address a wide range of vascular conditions. He is known for his patient-centered approach and comprehensive vascular care, ensuring optimal outcomes for his patients.

Arvind attributes twenty years of successful vascular practice in the Hunter Valley Newcastle and Lake Macquarie to the above.
Arvind studied medicine in India and obtained his general surgical experience and qualifications in India and the United Kingdom. He trained in vascular surgery in the United Kingdom and Australia. Majority of his vascular training took place at Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian college of Surgeons in 2001.

He then obtained a Diploma in Vascular Ultrasound from the Australian Society Of Ultrasound in Medicine in 2006. He became the Director of Vascular Surgery At The John Hunter in 2004 -2012.
Arvind is a senior conjoint associate lecturer in vascular surgery at the University of Newcastle School of Medicine for twenty years.
He supervises overseas vascular surgeons who come to gain additional endovascular experience at The John Hunter. He also trains and supervises Australian Surgical trainees who are on the Royal College pathway to become vascular surgeons.
He is well trained in all aspects of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and attributes his success to an excellent group of anaesthetists, assistants and vascular sonographers. He has access to a state-of-the-art Hybrid Vascular Suite at Newcastle Private Hospital, as well as angiography and theatre suites at Lake Macquarie Private and The John Hunter.

Arvind is well supported by Cardiologists, Nephrologists, Intensivists and Endocrinologists at these hospitals and has excellent and consistent outcomes in complex and difficult vascular cases.
He has excellent secretarial support and his senior secretary Sue has worked with him for twenty years ever since he started practice in Newcastle.
